The HP Compaq 6820s may have been released years ago and yet, it continues to be a common fixture in small businesses. The HP Compaq 6820s is one of three business models released by HP in 2007, the others being the 6520s and 6720s.
The HP Compaq 6820s is the largest model of the three, with 17 inches and a resolution of 1440×900. It has a silver finish and has a professional appearance.
Powering the HP Compaq 6820s is an Intel Celeron Processor that could run up to 2 GHz. But the consumer may opt to upgrade to the Intel Core 2 Duo processor that clocks up to 2.4 GHz. This could also be supported by up to 4GB of RAM. This laptop is equipped with an ATI Mobility Radeon X1350 card.
These specs guarantee how the HP Compaq 6820s is built to serve numerous tasks. It also doesn’t have sufficient power for the heavy applications. When it comes to processing speed and power, the HP Compaq 6820s can’t compare to the latest models that came out.

PROS
As an older model, the HP Compaq 6820s has specs that may not be the best that’s out there currently but it is still better than many laptops that are intended for small businesses. The HP Compaq 6820s has a keyboard and touchpad that are designed well. The keys are full-sized and they’re spaced well, making typing on the laptop a highly comfortable experience. The keys are also very responsive. The touchpad’s scroll zone makes it easier to look over documents.
The HP Compaq 6820s has a silver chassis that could endure physical abuse.
CONS
The HP Compaq 6820s takes a longer time than usual to start up. This may bother some who are insistent on getting access to files in the shortest time possible. However, it is not such a big issue as to concern most buyers.
The HP Compaq 6820s also tends to get warm after some time. This is usually the case when the laptop is thin and this certainly qualifies as one since it is only 1.27 inches thick.
CONCLUSION
The HP Compaq 6820s is a good buy despite its old processor. It is still able to give other newer laptops a run for its money in the business laptop market.
