The HP Compaq Presario CQ20 is the smallest in the HP Compaq Presario series, having a display of 12 inches.  But this little Presario is as good as its big brothers can get in terms of resolution – it sports a native resolution of 1280 x 800.

The HP Compaq Presario CQ20 is run by the same processors its big brothers have – the Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo P7350 processor clocked at 2 GHz.  This processing power is backed by 2 GB of RAM, assuring hitch-less performance when multi-tasking.

Small as it may be, the HP Compaq Presario CQ20 is packed with certain specs that other small thinking machines don’t have.  The HP Compaq Presario CQ20 is loaded with an optical drive under its hood and has video outputs for VGA and HDMI.  The HP Compaq Presario CQ20 also has three USB ports, an SD/MMC memory card reader, Bluetooth and Infrared ports and an ExpressCard slot.

Like its Presario brothers, the HP Compaq Presario CQ20 makes file storage an easy task.  Its hard drive can store up to 250 GB of digital files – large enough to accommodate a number of HD movies, music and important documents.

The HP Compaq Presario CQ20 also scores high on portability.  Its small and lean body only weighs less than 2 kilograms and fits enough on a luggage.

This notebook, however, does not have the capability to run hardcore games since it is not loaded with dedicated graphics.  The HP Compaq Presario CQ20. however, could still run lighter games that does not require much graphics rendering.

SPECS
Operating system Windows Vista Home Premium

Hard disk space 250 GB

PROS

Given the processing power of the HP Compaq Presario CQ20, coupled with 2 GB of RAM, opening several programs and memory hungry applications would be a cinch.

A great thing about the HP Compaq Presario CQ20 is its ability to connect to an external HD monitor, thanks to its HDMI port.

CONS

The HP Compaq Presario CQ20 lacks the power of a dedicated graphics card.  This is expected since this notebook is not a gaming machine.

CONCLUSION

The HP Compaq Presario CQ20 is a small but mean machine – it has excellent processing power for its size and could run several applications.  It is a good buy for those looking for mobile PCs that could handle hard tasks on the run.
