The HP Compaq Presario CQ60 is the model in the HP Compaq Presario series with the most powerful specs and the only one from the range that has a dedicated graphics card. The HP Compaq Presario CQ60 has a 256 MB Nvidia GeForce 9200M GS video processor that is better able to process graphics. However, the model is still quite limited with only 256 megabytes of video ram.
The HP Compaq Presario CQ60 has the 16-inch LCD screen that makes it superior among the other models in the series. When it comes to the specs and features, the HP Compaq Presario CQ60 actually has a lot in common with the CQ20 and CQ40. For instance, these three models all have the 2 GHz Intel Centrino P7350 Core 2 Duo processor. Multitasking can be accomplished with no difficulties. Graphics capabilities are improved, ensuring the user’s satisfaction with this model.
Since the CQ60 has a hard disk that can store 250 gigabytes of files, you won’t have to store your files somewhere else. You are guaranteed that you would have the space to put in all your HD movies, shows, music, games and work documents. With its optical drive, you can watch DVD movies on the 16-inch screen. However, you have the option to hook it up to an HD television through the HDMI port.
Connectivity options are numerous for the CQ60. There are three USB ports, as well as Bluetooth, Infrared and a 56kbps modem. The laptop can run Wireless local area networks using the 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n standards. It also is equipped with a webcam and an ExpressCard slot used to connect to external hard drives for more storage space.
The CQ60 only weighs about 2.75 kgs and is estimated to be priced at about $1,000.

PROS
One major difference between the HP Compaq Presario CQ60 and the two other models under the series is that it has a dedicated graphics processor. It offers a considerably better performance than the others since the graphics doesn’t share memory with the processor but it’s still limited to light games. The latest hardcore games require a minimum of 512 MB of VRAM.
The CQ60’s 2 GHz Core 2 Duo processor offers a very satisfactory performance. This laptop model also has sufficient memory with 2GB of RAM.
CONS
Despite having its own graphics card, the CQ60 is still limited when it comes to the games that can run on it due to its 256 megabyte video memory. The CQ60 can handle older and lighter games but certainly not the latest games that require from 512MB of VRAM up to 1GB of VRAM.
CONCLUSION
The CQ60 offers a slight better graphics capability than either the CQ20 or CQ40 but it cannot be considered a desktop replacement by any means. It does work a little bit faster than these two due to the freed memory from the graphics side. The CQ60 is recommended for those who intend to use the laptop for browsing and business applications as well as light gaming
